What we… Know, Want to learn, Learned (KWL)

Activity Summary

Students will use the show me boards to write down everything they know from their own knowledge relevant to the topic. This is the ‘K’-section of KWL – ‘know’. Then after a discussion with the class, students will identify, with the teacher, what they want to achieve, this is the W section – ‘What I want to know’. After the topic they can fill in the other section, L – ‘What I have learned’.
